Do You Cherish God's Word?

Psalm 107:20 says,

He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from
their destructions.
God has given us His Word for our benefit, and yet so many
Christians ignore it to their hurt.

It is like the story of the woman a preacher went to visit one day. She lived in a dilapidated house. As long as he had known her, she had struggled with poverty. Twenty years earlier she had been the housekeeper for the wealthiest woman in town, but the wealthy
woman had died. So this housekeeper moved into an old shack.

As the pastor was visiting her, he noticed a document framed on the wall. He said, “Do you mind if I borrow this for a few days?” She replied, “Well, you can borrow it, but please bring it back. Although I can’t read, it is very important to me. It is the only thing that the lady left me when she died. It is very valuable to me. It reminds me of her. So make sure you bring it back.”

He took it and had it investigated and authenticated. It was the will of the woman who had died, and in the will she left her housekeeper a fortune. The housekeeper could have had any house she wanted in the whole city and had servants of her own, but due to her ignorance, she lived in poverty and had a rough go of it all those years.

That woman reminds me of a lot of Christians. They don’t read their Bible, but they admire it because it reminds them of God. They haven’t taken time to find out the inheritance that belongs to them as believers.

God’s Word is a light to our path. It is our guidebook for life. It is bread for our spirit. It is our strength. It is our refuge in troubled times.

naja da hatten so manche gerade ne Konferenz mit unseren Lehrern, wegen Verstoß gegen die Regel und ich schau zu :)

Von Montag bis Mittwoch gings dann mit GK und Geschi nach Bonn... Das war super!

WIr sind wieder mal ein wenig schlauer geworden und das soll doch was heißen ;P
Nach dem kleinen Eugen, der nur die Größe von Frau Grein hatte ;), wurde die deutsche Postzentrale benannt: "der lange Eugen"
Wir standen an dem Zaun vom ehemaligen Bundeskanzleramt, an dem Schröder gerüttelt hatte und geschrien hatte: "Ich will da rein!" :)
Haben die tolle Uni besucht, die insgesamt 38000 Studenten beherbergt ;)
waren im Haus der Geschichte der BRD.
Und wisst ihr schon warum Bonn überhaupt Hauptstadt wurde? Tzja... also das war so: Die Entscheidung musste zwischen Bonn und Frankfurt getroffen werden. Da die englische Besetzung in Frankfurt keine Entmilitarisierung wollte und die amerikanische Besatzung Bonn frei gab. Setzte sich Adenauer besonders für Bonn ein und auch deswegen, weil Adenauer gerne seinen Regierungssitz vor der Haustür haben wollte ;)
Außerdem haben es uns die Franzosen in der Juhe neben uns angetan, die sich nach der ersten Nacht heftigst beschwert hatten, zurecht, uns aber in der zweiten Nacht wegen jedem kleinsten Geräusch aufweckten, weil sie sich anscheinend gestört fühlten, von was auch immer. Ich hab jedenfalls gut geschlafen. Ich glaube denen sind echt langsam die Haare auf der Zunge gewachsen....
Naja alles in allem war es ne richtig gute Zeit.

Sommerfest

Am letzten Sonntag war das Sommerfest der Filderer ;) Es war richtig sportlich schön...

The Father watched his beloved daughter and kissed softly her cheek. He stroked her hair and with his other arm he hugged her.

“I love you. You see, at the moment it seems that there is no change. – But wait and trust in me. I can work when you give up all the things you hold so close.”

“Oh Father. I am so glad you found me. You are my all and I never want to lose you my God! I never knew how easy it feels if I give you everything…lay all my burdens at the cross.

- Why did I keep it so long for myself? Why didn’t I give up earlier?

Oh Daddy, yeah you’re my Daddy! Oh how I long for you!

My sticking to my justification or self-defence or whatever kept me away from your love. Kiss away my tears and I can laugh again.”

06.05.07: Kofirmation von meinem Cousinchen

Am Sonntag war die Konfirmation von meinem tollen Cousinchen Magdalena. Es war einfach total schön endlich mal wieder meine Cousinen und meinen Cousin wieder zu sehen. Auch wenn leider nicht alle da sein konnten (an Kathrin und Benny und Boris:ich fands voll schade dass ihr net da wart, hab euch ein bissle vermisst) Ich hab echt nur die besten und coolsten Cousinen und vorallem einen coolen Cousin ;) Andy ich bin echt begeistert von dir! Hier ein paar Bildchen:

Worüber ich mich gerade täglich aufregen könnte, sind die stinkenden Rohre, an denen ich zur Zeit dauernd vorbeilaufen muss, wenn ich von der Schule nach Hause laufe. Da werden gerade so alte Reihenhäuser abgerissen (mit dem Abreißen kommen sie irgendwie nicht so voran) und auf jeden Fall haben sie schon vor einigen Wochen die Abflussrohre aus dem Boden ausgegraben und die dann am Straßenrand liegengelassen. Man kann sich ja vermutlich vorstellen wie das stinkt, einfach furchtbar und ich muss das ertragen. Ein Gutes hat es ja, wenigstens tragen meine Füße mich jetzt schneller, wenn auch nur an dieser Straße, und ich komm rechtzeitiger zum Mittagessen ;)

1. Mai 07: Bernloch auf der Alb und Johanns Scheune

Gestern war ja der tolle Tag der Arbeit, wir "homies" haben uns dann aber doch gedacht, dass arbeiten nicht ganz so chillig wäre und wir haben uns dann dazu entschieden zu chillen ;) Eigentlich hatten wir ja vorgehabt auf der Donau Kanu fahren zu gehen, da die Donau aber innerhalb von 4 Tagen von 54cm auf unter 50cm gesunken ist, mussten wir notgedrungen uns am Montag abend noch umentscheiden. Nach langem Hin und Her war es dann endlich klar, was wir machen, nämlich auf die Alb nach Bernloch, wo wir uns ,"jonge Leit" ein Gütle mit "ältre Leit" teilten ;) Es war richtig schön, genauso schön wie das Wetter. :) Angefangen vom Indiaka übers Grillen, in der Sonne liegen und reden, Fotos schießen, Gitarre spielen (ich hab neue guitar chords glernt... *freu*), ehm Fußball spielen oder zuschauen und Mate-Tee trinken *g* bis hin zum gemeinsamen Lobpreis und Gebet auf der Wiese im Sonnenschein....
Jo und danach sind dann noch ein paar homies zum Johann in die Scheune, um uns "Happy Feet" reinzuziehen und nebenher genüßlich unsre großen Pizzen zu verspeisen... ja ja wenn man mal Jungs was zum Essen holen lässt *g* Der Film "Happy Feet" ist schon echt der Burner und Simon findet ihn richtig gut!!! :) Ich mein muss er ja auch, wenn er ihn sich aussucht ;) Ja ja der abend war echt sehr "spanton"..... und dann spät nachts sind wir dann alle ins Bettchen geschlupft.
