Lord, - here I am. I will bow my knees and worship you, my Saviour.
You alone, you hold the universe in your mighty hands.
And though you are so great and powerful, you know me, you love me.
- How can it be, that you reign in all the earth and keep me in your arms, my God?
Nor heights nor depths, no devil, no decision made without you, no man, no evil can ever separate me from your love.
Lord, - I know: Your mercy never ends. I’ll rest in you. You hold me close, in your loving arms. You love me!
Hold me close. Never let me go! I am so weak but I will trust in your power.
Your arms are open wide and I’ll run into them…
I love your presence, Lord. It’s you I seek with all my heart.
Let me know you more, - your heart!
Change my mind! It’s you alone who has the power to overcome the world.
And you live in me. So I will live for all eternity!
I will live in your love, - a love so full of selflessness and forgiveness.
Where can I find you? … I don’t know where to go… hey you found me!
When I was all alone, you came and said: “My child, your father is right here, next to you.”
What do you want from me?”, I didn’t know what to response. – But he looked at me with loving eyes and spoke to me:
“ I just like to be with you. Share with me your life, your feelings, your whole being. I’ll never disappoint you! I am your heavenly father. And there is nothing in the world who can give you all that what you really need. I am the only one who can heal you, your heart, your mind and give you a totally new understanding of the world you live in.
- Your ways are in my hands. So never give up! I am with you, - all of your days and I have treasures in my rooms… they’re for you my child!
Take them! I give them for free!
- Darling, you know what? – Live obedient to my word and never look back into the past. You are a new creation. My Son lives in you. You are my beloved daughter and my Son died for you… even for your enemies. Forgive and I will forgive.”
“Oh Father, it’s so hard. I do not know… I can’t do that… it hurts so much. - But your heart also hearted when you gave your son. You never acted according to your feelings. You made a decision which meant: Giving your only Son to save the world… and me within this world. Lord, although I am wounded and disappointed from persons you probably know, because know me inside out. Lord, I decide to forgive and I will never look back, God.”
The Father watched his beloved daughter and kissed softly her cheek. He stroked her hair and with his other arm he hugged her.
“I love you. You see, at the moment it seems that there is no change. – But wait and trust in me. I can work when you give up all the things you hold so close.”
“Oh Father. I am so glad you found me. You are my all and I never want to lose you my God! I never knew how easy it feels if I give you everything…lay all my burdens at the cross.
- Why did I keep it so long for myself? Why didn’t I give up earlier?
Oh Daddy, yeah you’re my Daddy! Oh how I long for you!
My sticking to my justification or self-defence or whatever kept me away from your love. Kiss away my tears and I can laugh again.”
